The Financial Industry Community Aid Program (FICAP) is planning its biggest ever event for its milestone tenth anniversary charity bash. The annual ‘Who wants to be a RockStar’ event will return to the Ivy in Sydney following the success of last year’s event.

FICAP chairman Chris Larsen said this year the group is expecting a record crowd. “We couldn’t be more excited. 2016 marks our 10th RockStar Anniversary and it’s going to be our biggest event yet.”

FICAP head of sponsorship Scott Baker said 2016 also marks a record year of sponsorship. “The response from our sponsors in supporting FICAP again in 2016 has been truly overwhelming. This is the first year we have been forced to cap numbers,” he said.

The Mirabel Foundation joins The Shepherd Centre and Weave as worthy recipients of funds raised by FICAP in 2016. FICAP’s is supported by some of the largest companies in the Australian financial services sector. It aims to raise money for charities that benefit young people.

To date, FICAP has donated more than $1,000,000 to a number of charities.
